Cardiff lecturer three bicycles stolenA Cardiff lecturer who had three bicycles stolen in as many months has carried out his own survey on bike crime and has revealed the results, claiming the number of cycles stolen in the capital is on the rise. Fed-up Dr Joe O’Mahoney says bike crime has increased by 58 per cent in the past ten years. He added that South Wales Police told him they were looking into using so-called ‘stinger bikes’, as seen on the streets of London, as a way of tracking stolen cycles.
