Lists of banned individuals maintained and updated in real time via prison pass system
A Swansea fraudster has absconded from prison and police want to find him "swiftly". Once an award-winning businessman who ran a successful double glazing firm in Port Talbot, Martin Evans turned to fraud when the firm collapsed. He was jailed in 2006 for drugs supply and fraud. Swansea Crown Court had heard that Evans swindled 87 investors of nearly £900,000 by promising a 70 per cent return from an ostrich farm set up at Swansea.
As well as comprehensive smart card access systems, Access Control Wales provide tailor-made Prison Pass solutions capable of meeting security requirements for visitor control in jails. Prison Pass is a low cost, easy to install, computer based pass system for registering each visitor, both on and off site. Pre-booking is available at visitor centres and entry points for increased speed of throughput. Lists of banned individuals are maintained and updated in real time. The list is checked during registration and will immediately warn prison staff both visually and audibly (optional).
