Thefts of oil are up 500% across Wales. In the Dyfed-Powys police force area, the recorded thefts which had a value attached to them totalled £135,000 over the five-year period.

A trio of Rhyl brothers were jailed for a slew of lead thefts across north Wales. The Critchley family usually struck at schools and other soft targets, Caernarfon Crown Court heard. The brothers stole at primary and high schools at Rhyl, Rhuddlan, Conwy, and Prestatyn.
Police are appealing to any members of the public that recognise a man who tried to rob a Cardiff bookmakers to get in touch. The man menaced an employee at William Hill in Wellfield Road, Roath, at around 09:00 GMT on December 8.
